RTRS:Turkey's lira weakens to all-time low against dollar
(Reuters) - The Turkish lira weakened to an all time low of 1.8301 against the dollar due to the global risk aversion and the central bank's lower-than-expected forex-selling auction amount.
Global risk aversion rose and outflows from emerging markets increased after the Federal Reserve said on Wednesday that the United States faced a grim economic outlook with significant downside risks .
The Turkish central bank opened a forex-selling auction on Thursday with a maximum volume of $70 million, bank data showed.
The lira weakened to 1.8300 level versus the dollar on Aug. 9. (Writing by Seltem Iyigun)
