(RTTNews) - The Australian dollar extended previous session's uptrend against major rivals ahead of the North American session on Friday. The aussie touched 1.2864 against the NZ dollar around 7:00 am ET and this set its highest since July 14. The aussie-kiwi pair is presently worth 1.2857 with 1.3050 seen as the next likely resistance level, its 200-day SMA. The Australian dollar advanced more than 3-week highs of 1.3465 against the euro and 1.0263 against the US dollar. On the upside, the aussie may find target levels at 1.03 against the greenback and 1.3440 against the euro. The Australian dollar touched above the 79.0 level against the Japanese yen for the first time since September 19.
