SG:PPS buys 200 tonnes of nickel from Eramet - Stratton Metals
Dow Jones reported that French nickel producer Eramet SA has won a recent tender to supply 200 tonnes of nickel to South Korea's Public Procurement Service, a state commodities stockpiling agency.
Commodity trading firm Stratton Metals Resources Limited said that the nickel was sold at a premium of USD 629 per tonne over the London Metal Exchange price, with no duty rate.
Other bidders were Switzerland's Glencore International, Metal Park and Daewoo International.
Bids for the tender opened on October 11th 2011.
Earlier this week, Glencore sold PPS 200 tonnes of nickel at a premium of USD 1,020 per tonne. Bids for that tender opened in August 2011 with the metal to be delivered by October 31st 2011.
