RTTN:Pound Climbs To 1-1/2 Month High Against US Dollar |

(RTTNews) - U.K.'s sterling extended its early Asian session uptrend against the currencies of the U.S. and Japan ahead of Monday's European deals.
Around 2:40 am ET, the pound broke past the 1.60 level against the US dollar for the first time since September 8.
The cable is presently worth 1.5980 with 1.6050 seen as the next likely resistance level, at which the falling 100-day simple moving average lies.
The yen is presently trading at a 1-week high of 122.14 with 122.70 seen as the next likely upside target level.
