LONDON (Dow Jones)--The cost of borrowing dollars, euros and sterling for three months in the London interbank market all rose Tuesday.
Data from the British Bankers' Association showed the three-month dollar London Interbank Offered Rate, known as Libor, rising to 0.42222% from 0.42028%.
The spread between the three-month dollar Libor and the three-month overnight index swap rate--a barometer of banks' willingness to lend--widened to 34.4 basis points from 33.8 basis points Monday.
The euro rate rose to 1.52063% from 1.51938% while the three-month sterling rate rose to 0.98475% from 0.98169%.
