OG:World Oil Prices Decline on U.S., Japanese Statistics
The price of oil on world commodity exchanges was falling Friday morning as Washington and Tokyo reported weak economic data which could portend a decline in demand for fuels.
The price of a December futures contract for WTI light sweet crude in electronic trading on Nymex was down 60 cents to $93.36 a barrel by 6:55 Moscow time. The price of a December futures contract for North Sea Brent blend was off 43 cents to $111.66 in London.
The day before, December WTI contracts rose $3.76 to $93.96 a barrel, while December Brent contracts were up $3.18 to $112.09.
