RTRS:UK gas falls on mild weather, better LNG outlook

* Gas falls 13 pct below seasonal norms

* Langeled gas flows at two-week low

* Three more LNG tankers expected in UK in early Nov.

LONDON, Oct 31 (Reuters) - British prompt gas prices slipped to a 10-day low on Monday morning as milder-than-normal weather weighed on demand and a healthy liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply outlook eased concerns about cargo diversions to Asia.

Gas for day-ahead delivery fell 0.35 pence below the previous close to 59.25 pence per therm at 0915 GMT on Monday, while November gas traded at 61.85 pence, 0.60 pence below Friday's close.

"It's still warm and even with lower Langeled (flows) people seem happy to sell November," one UK gas trader at a utility said.

DEMAND & SUPPLY

British gas demand was 13 pence below seasonal norms at around 245 million cubic metres per day, National Grid data showed.

Gas flows through the Norwegian Langeled pipeline fell to the lowest in two weeks over the weekend, leaving the UK gas system undersupplied, but weak demand counter balanced the impact of reduced supply.

The outlook for LNG deliveries in November also improved as three more tankers are expected to arrive in Britain over the coming ten days, easing concerns about Qatari exports being diverted to higher bidding Asian buyers.

WEATHER

Daytime temperatures are expected to remain close to or above average levels this week, but weather conditions will be less mild than last week, the Met Office forecast on Sunday.

TECHNICALS

The benchmark front-season gas contract slipped further below its 200 exponential daily moving average (DMA) value, indicating further downside.

The contract traded at 62.00 pence per therm, down 0.70 pence from Friday's closing level, dragged lower by falling crude prices.

POWER

Power prices also fell as strong wind speeds are expected to continue powering Britain's wind farms, while weak gas prices make it cheaper to burn the fuel in power plants.

The day-ahead baseload power contract fell one pound to 46.00 pounds per megawatt-hour (MWh) on Monday.

Wind power output is expected to reach up to 4,000 MW on Monday, National Grid data showed.
