NEW DELHI: Crude oil futures prices fell by Rs 32, or 0.70 per cent, to Rs 4,509 per barrel today, as speculators reduced their positions amid a weakening trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, prices for November contract fell by Rs 32, or 0.70 per cent, to Rs 4,509 per barrel, with a trading volume of 13,529 lots.
The December contract lost Rs 31, or 0.68 per cent, to Rs 4,521 per barrel, with a business turnover of 1,206 lots.
Analysts said fall in crude oil futures was mostly in line with a weakening trend in Asian markets on worries that Europe's debt crisis will harm economic growth, tempering demand for raw materials.
Meanwhile, the New York's main contract crude for December delivery fell by USD 1.37 to USD 91.14 a barrel in the Asian region today.
