WSJ:Australian Dollar Down Late As Investors Pause Before US Payroll Data
SYDNEY (Dow Jones)--The Australian dollar was marginally lower in Asia Friday, reflecting weakness in equity markets across the region as investors took stock ahead of crucial U.S. employment data to be released later in the global day.
Still, the currency has retained much of the gain it made mid-week after major central banks announced moves to lower the cost of U.S. dollar funding to ease money-market strains.
