MSN:Copper, brass gain on industrial offtake

Mumbai, Dec 13 (PTI) Select copper and brass prices gained at the non-ferrous metal market here today on fresh stockists buying amid good industrial offtake, despite bearish London Metal Exchange (LME) cues.
Meanwhile, zinc, tin and copper scrap heavy prices declined on the back of lower demand from alloy as well as consumer industries.
The industrial metals slipped further at the LME as cautious investors shifted to dollar holdings following rising doubts over Europe''s plan on eurozone debt crisis.
Copper sheet cutting and brass utensils scrap both moved up by Rs 3 per kilo each to Rs 429 and Rs 305 from overnight closing level of Rs 426 and Rs 302.
Copper cable scrap, copper utensils scrap, copper wire bar and brass sheet cutting all inched up by a rupee per kilo each to Rs 450, Rs 415, Rs 478 and Rs 314 respectively.
However, tin fell by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,330 from Rs 1,335, zinc edged down by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 125 from Rs 127 and copper scrap heavy softened by a rupee per kilo to Rs 442 from Rs 443 previously.
