The shekel weakened considerably against the dollar and euro on Monday. The shekel was down 1.25% against the dollar, closing at NIS 3.801. The shekel was down 1.28% against the euro, closing at NIS 5.094.
The two indices were the first time in many months that the shekel fell below what many in the Bank of Israel see as crucial benchmarks – NIS 3.80 for the dollar, and NIS 5 for the euro.
