SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures on Wednesday, recouping some of its recent losses ahead of a weekly U.S. government report on inventories. Crude for April delivery CLJ2 +0.19% gained 20 cents, or 0.2%, to $106.76 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Oil lost nearly 3% in the two previous days. The Energy Information Administration is due to report its weekly supply figures later Wednesday. Analysts polled by Platts expect crude stocks to rise 1 million barrels, gasoline stockpiles to decline 180,000 barrels, and distillates inventories to decline 1.3 million barrels.
