MW: U.S. stock futures trim rise after economic data

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures lightly scaled back Thursday gains after U.S. economic data had jobless claims falling again last week and personal spending rising 0.3% in January, just below expectations. Up 40 points before the reports, tutures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJH2 +0.29% were lately up 34 points at 12,971. Futures for the S&P 500 SPH2 +0.26% rose 3.6 points to 1,368. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 added 10.5 points to 2,633.50.
