RTTN: Dollar Edges Up Ahead Of US Retail Sales Report
(RTTNews) - The Commerce Department is set to release the retail sales report for February at 8:30 am ET. Economists estimate a 1.2 percent increase in retail sales and a 0.8 percent increase in retail sales that exclude autos.
The dollar strengthened against its major rivals ahead of the report. As of 8:25 am ET, the greenback was trading at 1.3090 against the euro, 0.9214 against the Swiss franc, 1.5645 against the pound and 82.73 against the yen.
