MW:Crude-oil prices climb further above $107/barrel

HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil prices rose in electronic trading Monday amid optimism about global economic recovery and as U.S. stock index futures climbed after broad declines on Wall Street Friday. April crude-oil futures CLJ2 +0.32% advanced 34 cents, or 0.3%, to $107.40 a barrel during Asian afternoon hours, adding to Friday's $1.95 increase in a regular New York Mercantile Exchange session. May gasoline futures CLK2 +0.28% rose 0.3% to $3.36 per gallon and heating oil HOK2 +0.01% slipped 0.1% to $3.29 per gallon. April natural gas futures NGJ12 +0.17% added 0.3% to $2.33 per million British thermal units.
