MW: Brazil equities climb after three-session decline

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Brazilian equities edged higher Monday, finding support after tallying a three-session loss of 1%. Brazil's benchmark Ibovespa BR:BVSP +0.54% rose 0.2% to 67,836.15. Telecom stocks led the gains in Sao Paulo with shares of Telenorte Leste Participacoes SA BR:TNLP4 +2.58% up 1.7%. Stocks in Argentina fell, with the Merval AR:MERV -0.50% down 0.8% at 2,744.02 following gains of 2% over the past two trading sessions. Trading in Mexico was closed for a holiday.
