NEW YORK, June 19 (UPI) -- Supply concerns pushed crude oil prices higher in New York Tuesday morning with a run taking West Texas Intermediate crude above $84 per barrel.
WTI crude oil for July delivery added 83 cents to $84.10 per barrel as a preliminary report on imports indicated U.S. inventories would continue a decline for a third week then the Energy Information Administration releases their weekly report on Wednesday.
Natural gas for July delivery lost 6 cents to hit $2.575 per million British thermal units.
Home heating oil added 2.46 cents to $2.6423 per gallon.
Gasoline moved lower, giving up 0.1 cents to reach $2.6599 a gallon.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline fell to $3.497 per gallon from Monday's $3.505, AAA said.
