MW: Natural gas adds to losses after supplies report

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Natural-gas futures fell further Thursday after a report showed a larger-than-expected increase in weekly supplies of the product. Natural gas for August delivery NGQ12 -3.32% , the new front-month contract, declined 13 cents, or 4.5%, to $2.67 per million British thermal units. The Energy Information Administration reported a rise of 57 billion cubic feet for the week ended June 22. Analysts polled by Platts had expected an increase between 51 bcf and 55 bcf. Futures prices traded around $2.80 before the data.
