SHAH ALAM: After 31 world-class matches and dozens of fantastic goals, Euro 2012 culminated with European football all-stars Spain and Italy battling it out for the coveted title of 'Kings of Europe' which went to the Spanish team.
For the final clash of the football titans, Carlsberg held its last viewing party at The Beach Club at Jalan P. Ramlee here. Carlsberg also sponsored activities at several other night spots in the Klang Valley. Among these were Pavilion in front of La Bodega, Movida at Sunway Giza and Mayang Oasis at Taman Mayang which featured a huge outdoor screen, as well as various trade outlets.
Hundreds of die-hard fans stayed up till the wee hours to watch the championship come to a feverish end, while enjoying activities and trivia games courtesy of Carlsberg.
Carlsberg Malaysia managing director Soren Ravn said: "We have come to the end of an incredible Euro 2012 and we're making sure that fans have a memorable climax to what has been non-stop excitement for the last few weeks. Along the way, we have discovered so many real fans who truly wear their passion with passion."
To keep the crowd's excitement going until the start of the final, various activities took place at the different viewing parties. Avid fans were entertained with performances by Carlsberg football dancers, as well as cheerleading and juggling acts. Fans at Movida also had an opportunity to participate in a midnight eating challenge.
