SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures turned higher on Monday, shaking off early weakness to gain modestly. Oil for August delivery CLQ2 +0.06% rose $16, 0r 0.2%, to $87.25 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It had earlier traded as low as $86.41 a barrel as investors worried about negative U.S. retail sales.
