MW: Oil rallies to end at best since mid May

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Crude-oil futures rallied Thursday as investors worried about supplies amid a flare-up in concerns about the Middle East. Oil for August delivery (US:clq2) rose $2.79, or 3.1%, to end at $92.66 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. That was oil's seventh straight settlement higher, and one that took the commodity to its highest since mid May. Israeli authorities have blamed Iran in a bombing at a Bulgarian resort popular among Israelis, and concerns about Syria also factored in on a day U.S. equities traded higher and the dollar was modestly weaker.
