RTTN:Euro Gains On ECB President Mario Draghi's Comments
(RTTNews) - The euro surged higher against the dollar and yen at 6:10 am ET in response to the European Central Bank governor Mario Draghi's speech at the Global Investment Conference. Reports quoted Draghi as saying that the central bank will do whatever is needed to preserve the euro.
The euro hit as high as 95.05 against the yen and 1.2165 against the dollar.
Meanwhile, the dollar and yen fell against the rest of majors. The dollar is now trading at 0.9872 against the franc and 1.5546 against the pound.
The yen is trading as low as 121.47 against the pound and 79.22 against the franc.
