ET:Gold hits 3-week high as Draghi comments lift euro
LONDON: Gold prices hit three-week highs on Thursday in line with a swift move higher in the euro after European Central Bank President Mario Draghi pledged to do whatever was necessary to protect the euro zone from collapse.
Spot gold hit a high of $1,610.70 an ounce, and was up 0.3 per cent at $1,608.71 an ounce at 1029 GMT.
