TRENTON - Four men allegedly stole a 400 pound container from a local business in the middle of the day Tuesday. Quinte West OPP said employees of a Sidney Ward business saw an unmarked white commercial van pull into the storage yard of the business and watched four men exit the vehicle. Police said the four men loaded a 400 pound steel container into the van and quickly drove away. The employees were unable to get a licence plate number. The theft occurred around noon and the value of the container is currently unknown to the police. Police said the vehicle was last seen driving southbound on the 401. Anyone with information about this theft is asked to call the Quinte West at 613-392-3561.
