LONDON--The cost of borrowing dollars for three months in the London interbank market fell Friday, while the corresponding euro and sterling rates also declined.
Data from the British Bankers' Association showed the three-month dollar London Interbank Offered Rate, or Libor, decreased to 0.43935% from 0.44185% Thursday.
The spread between the three-month dollar Libor and overnight index swaps, a barometer of market stress, widened to 30.0 basis points from 29.3 basis points Thursday.
The euro rate dropped to 0.24679% from 0.24821%, while the sterling rate slid to 0.73063% from 0.73375%.
