RTTN:Euro Recovers Some Recent Losses Against Most Majors
(RTTNews) - The euro erased some of its recent losses against the currencies of the U.S., Japan and Switzerland in early New York deals on Monday. Against the UK sterling, the common currency extended previous session's rally.
The single currency snapped back to near 1.24 against the dollar and 97.15 against the yen from session's lows of 1.2343 and 96.71, respectively. The euro advanced to 1.2016 against the franc, up 3-pips from its recent lows.
The euro also extended gains against the pound, rising above the 0.7950 for the first time in more than a month. The euro-pound pair is presently hovering around the 0.7960 area.
