YR: Oil prices rise slightly after Friday's big gain

NEW YORK—The price of oil is up slightly Monday following its biggest gain in more than a month.
Benchmark U.S. crude rose 16 cents to $91.56 per barrel in New York. Brent crude rose 14 cents to $109.08 per barrel in London.
Oil gained almost 5 percent on Friday after the U.S. government reported a surge in jobs growth last month, increasing optimism that the economy is on the right track.
Without any economic indicators to focus on Monday, the surprisingly positive jobs report is still weighing heavily on investors' minds.
Retail gasoline prices rose 5 cents over the weekend to a U.S. average of $3.619 per gallon. Gasoline prices have jumped by about 29 cents per gallon since the beginning of July.
