MW:Stock futures mildly off after durable-goods data

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock-index futures edged slightly lower after the Commerce Department reported orders for durable goods jumped 4.2% in July on increased demand for autos and airplanes. Futures were already off on investor worries about Europe's ability to make process in resolving its debt crisis. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average were down 14 points, or 0.1%, at 13,025. Those for the S&P 500 index SPU2 -0.13% declined 3 points, or 0.2%, to 1,397. The Nasdaq Composite COMP -0.66% retreated 4.25 points, or 0.2%, to 2,756.75.
