NEW YORK, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices jumped nearly $2 Thursday morning to $97.22 per barrel with equities higher in Asia and Europe.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, West Texas Intermediate crude oil for October delivery added $1.86. Natural gas added 0.6 cent to $2.801 per million British thermal units.
Home heating oil gained 4.31 cents to $3.1607 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline added 6.37 cents to $3.0135 per gallon.
At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.823 per gallon Thursday, down from Wednesday's $3.824, AAA reported.
