AG: US Copper Producer Prices Jump, Chinese Prices Up on Copper Index
 
The price of US copper producer grade 110 saw a 3.1 percent increase on Sept. 10, 2012, making it the biggest mover on MetalMiner’s price index for the day. The price of US copper producer grade 122 climbed 3.1 percent as well. The price of US copper producer grade 102 gained 3 percent.

For the fifth consecutive day, the cash price of primary Japanese copper held flat, below $8,200 per metric ton.

Chinese copper prices were up for the day.

The price of Chinese copper wire has been on the rise for 11 days and is now above $9,200 per metric ton. Chinese bright copper scrap prices inched up 2.6 percent. Chinese copper bar finished the day up 2.6 percent, as did the Chinese copper cash price.

At $7,855, the primary copper cash price finished the market day on the LME up 2.3 percent per metric ton. Also on the LME, the 3-month price of copper increased 2.3 percent to $7,844 per metric ton.
