MW:Canadian dollar erases loss as country's jobs flat
By Deborah Levine
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- The Canadian dollar erased losses on Friday after the government said the country's labor market was unchanged in October and the unemployment rate stayed at 7.4%. Analysts at Brown Brothers Harriman said expectations were centered around a gain of 10,000 jobs. U.S. employment data came out at the same time and boosted the greenback more broadly. The U.S. dollar USDCAD +0.00% bought 99.68 Canadian cents after the report, compared to 99.84 Canadian cents before the data and little changed from Thursday.
