MW: U.S. stock futures maintain rise amid Draghi, data

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock-index fututures held modest Thursday gains after the count of those filing for jobless claims came in below expectations last week, and the U.S. trade deficit narrowed in September. The U.S. data was released as European Central Bank President Mario Draghi started a news conference. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJZ2 +0.17% were up 47 points, or 0.4%, to 12,910. The S&P 500 index SPZ2 +0.25% were up 4.9 points at 1,394. Futures for the Nasdaq 100 NDZ2 +0.34% added 8.75 points to 2,618.75.
