ISR: Yen Jumps; Pound Up, Dollars Mixed, Euro Down
The official value of the shekel declined an average of .321 percent, Thursday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.903, up .619 percent, while the Euro rose .034 percent to 4.9751 shekels.
The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.2254, up .358 percent, while 100 Japanese yen jumped 1.32 percent to 4.8899 shekels. The Australian dollar was fixed at 4.0645 shekels, up .284 percent, while its Canadian counterpart slipped .015 percent to NIS 3.918 and the South African Rand was fixed at .4488 shekels, down .156 percent.
