BR: Connecticut Gas Prices Continue Decline

Gas prices in Connecticut continued to drop in the lead up to the holiday season. The average price per gallon dropped from $3.83 to $3.81 in the past week. A month ago the average price was $4, according to price tracking website ConnecticutGasPrices.com.

The national average is $3.43. An analyst at GasBuddy.com, the parent company of ConnecticutGasPrices.com, said he doesn’t think prices will improve much in December.

“I don’t see how gas prices could greatly improve between now and Christmas, given the new military action in the Middle East and other pressures,” Patrick DeHaan said in a statement. “It’s all but certain the national average will not drop under $3.25 per gallon, which could lead to a perilous start to start to 2013.”

To find the lowest gas prices in the area, check the Commute section on Brookfield Patch.
