MY:Rupee falls 11 paise against US dollar to 54.37
Indian rupee declined against the greenback in morning trade on Monday. Rupee was down by 11 paise or 0.21% against USD to Rs 54.37 compared to previous close of 54.26 (09.22 a.m.).
In the spot market, the Dollar Index decreased 0.22% to 79.97 (22:36 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.30 up 0.41% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 82.45 down 0.04% (22:52 ET).
At 09.23 a.m., the Sensex was trading up 50.92 points or 0.26% at 19,390.82 with 21 components gaining. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading higher by 10.60 points or 0.18% at 5,890.45 with 34 components gaining.
