LONDON: Gold prices fell by almost 1 percent to a one-month low at $1,697.79 per ounce on Tuesday, after a break through key chart support at $1,704 triggered a wave of selling.
Spot gold was down 0.9 percent at $1,699.89 per ounce at 1337 GMT. Traders flagged up support for the precious metal at its 100-day moving average, currently at $1,694.
