The official value of the shekel declined an average of .207 percent, Thursday, against the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.813, up .21 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro rose .183 percent to 4.9819 shekels.
The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.1432, up .238 percent, while 100 Japanese yen slipped .063 percent to 4.6287 shekels. The Australian dollar rose .386 percent to 4.0001 shekels while its Canadian counterpart was fixed at NIS 3.8454, up .222 percent, and the South African Rand rose .715 percent to .4365 shekels.
