FRANKFURT (MarketWatch) -- Euro-zone finance ministers approved the long-delayed release of financial aid to Greece at a meeting in Brussels on Thursday, news reports said. The agreement comes after Greece this week completed a debt buyback that retired $41.5 billion worth of government debt, a prerequisite for the aid set by Greece's troika of international creditors. Finance ministers approved the release of a total of 49.1 billion euros ($64 billion) in aid between now and March, with around 34.3 billion euros set to be disbursed in December, reports said.
