ISR: Shekel, Yen Down; Euro Outpaces Pound, Dollars
The official value of the shekel declined an average of .473 percent, Friday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.799, up .423 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro rose .675 percent to 4.9698 shekels.
The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.1272, up .502 percent, while 100 Japanese yen slipped .046 percent to 4.533 shekels. The Canadian dollar rose .382 percent to 3.8607 shekels, while the Australian dollar was fixed at NIS 4.0018, up .359 percent. The South African Rand rose .16 percent to .4382 shekels and the Danish Krone was set at NIS .6661, up .665 percent, while the Swedish Krona bounced back from its Thursday loss to rise .601 percent to .5687 shekels.
