NEW DELHI: Nickel and lead prices rose by Rs 2 per kg on the non-ferrous metal market today on increased demand from consuming industries amid a firm global trend.
Traders said increased demand from consuming industries and a firm global trend mainly helped nickel and lead prices to strengthen.
Meanwhile, nickel climbed 0.4 per cent to USD 17,674 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, nickel (4x4) gained Rs 2 at Rs 1,052-1,055, while lead ingot and lead imported were traded higher by similar margin to Rs 145 and Rs 143 per kg, respectively.
The following are metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 111-115, nickel plate (4x4) 1,052-1,055, gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 408, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 145, lead imported 143, aluminium ingots 128, sheet cutting 129, aluminium wire scrap 133 and aluminium utensils scrap 128.
