ABC: Thief drops from ceiling in Dollar Store burglary
GERMANTOWN - December 19, 2012 (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are asking for the public's help in identifying the man responsible for multiple burglaries at a Giant Dollar Store in the city's Germantown section.
According to investigators, the man in question was captured on video breaking into the Giant Dollar Store, located at 35 East Chelten Avenue, numerous times between December 7 and December 15, 2012.
Surveillance video shows the man gaining access to the inside of the store through the roof. Once inside, the suspect takes various cartons and loose packs of cigarettes, as well as an undetermined amount of money.
The suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30 years-of-age, 5'3"-5'5", stocky build, medium complexion, wearing a dark knit hat, red hooded Nike sweatshirt with black sleeves with "Nike" in black on the upper left chest, and black and white sneakers.
