MY: Crude oil price for Indian basket increases to 108.02 USD/bbl
The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas rose to USD 108.02/barrel (bbl) on Dec. 20, 2012. This was higher than the price of USD 107.83/bbl on the previous trading day of Dec. 19, 2012.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price increased to Rs 5,923.82/bbl on Dec. 20, 2012 from Rs 5,902.61/bbl on Dec. 19, 2012.
This was due to price increase in dollar terms and rupee depreciation. Rupee dollar-exchange rate on Dec. 20, 2012 was Rs 54.84/USD against Rs 54.74/USD on the last trading day of Dec. 19, 2012.
