NEW DELHI: Crude palm oil prices declined by Rs 1.30 to Rs 440.50 per 10 kg today, as speculators offloaded their positions amid a weakening global trend.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in January declined by Rs 1.30, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 440.50 per 10 kg in business turnover of 662 lots.
Likewise, the oil for delivery in February shed 60 paise, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 448.80 per 10 kg in 548 lots.
Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators in tandem with a weakening global trend mainly led to the fall in crude palm oil prices at futures trade.
Meanwhile, palm oil prices dropped 1.2 per cent to Rs 801 a tonne on the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.
