NEW YORK, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices topped $94 Thursday morning in New York, as traders weighed positive corporate reports against a modest build up in inventories.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil on the New York Mercantile Exchange added 98 cents to $94.08 per barrel despite Wednesday's Energy Information Administration report that said crude oil stockpiles added 1.3 million barrels in the week to reach 361.3 million.
Gasoline gained 1.9 cents to $2.7979 a gallon. Home heating oil gained 1.66 cents to $3.0865 a gallon.
The price of natural gas added 3.7 cents to $3.15 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, AAA reported the national average price for regular unleaded gasoline rose to $3.31 per gallon from Wednesday's $3.304.
