ET:Copper, nickel rise on global cues
 
NEW DELHI: Copper and nickel prices rose by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metal market today on increased buying by stockists, influenced by a firming global trend.

Traders said increased buying by stockists in line with a firming global trend, mainly led to rise in copper and nickel prices.

Meanwhile, copper rose 0.2 per cent to $ 7,957.75 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.

In the national capital, copper and nickel (4x4) rose by Rs 2 each to Rs 428 and Rs 1067-1070 per kg respectively.

The following are metal rates per kg: Zinc ingot 119-123, nickel plate (4x4) 1,067-1,070, gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 428, chadri deshi 285.

Lead ingot 143, lead imported 141, aluminium ingots 132, sheet cutting 133, aluminium wire scrap 137 and aluminium utensils scrap 132.
