ET:Crude palm oil futures marginally up on spot demand
NEW DELHI: Crude palm oil futures prices today are marginaly up by Rs 2 to Rs 443.40 per 10 kg amid a firming trend in the spot market on rising domestic demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in January rose by Rs 2, or 0.45 per cent, to Rs 443.40 per 10 kg, with trade volume of 309 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in February moved up by Rs 2, or 0.44 per cent, to Rs 451.70 per 10 kg in a business turnover of 456 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by speculators on the back of a firming trend in the domestic market amid a pick-up in demand mainly helped crude palm oil futures to trade higher.
