MY:Rupee gains 12 paise against US dollar to 54.06
Indian rupee gained against the greenback in noon trade on Monday. Rupee was higher by 12 paise or 0.22% against US dollar to Rs 54.06 compared to previous close of 54.18 (12.36 p.m.). It opened at Rs 54.22 against US dollar.
In the spot market, the Dollar Index dincreased 0.02% to 81.50 compared to previous close of 81.48 (02:00 ET).
Euro - USD was trading at 1.32 up 0.16% while USD - Japanese Yen was trading at 94.25 up 0.89% (02:08 ET).
At 12.41 p.m, the Sensex was trading down 21.42 points or 0.11% at 19,295.59 with 20 components falling. Meanwhile, the Nifty was trading lower by 13.05 points or 0.22% at 5,837.25 with 33 components falling.
