ET:Copper futures fall 0.24 pc on weak global cues
NEW DELHI: Amid weak global cues and subdued domestic demand, copper prices fell by Rs 1.05 to Rs 430.15 per kg in futures trade today on speculators reducing their positions.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in June fell by Rs 1.05, or 0.24 per cent to Rs 430.15 per kg in business turnover of 609 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in April traded lower by 90 paise, or 0.21 per cent to Rs 424.70 per kg in 12099 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in copper futures to weak global trend and subdued demand in the spot market.
Meanwhile, copper declined 0.2 per cent to $ 7,743 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
