IE:Gold price, silver price fall on sluggish demand
 
Both the precious metals, gold and silver extended losses in the national capital today on sluggish demand.

While gold fell further by Rs 130 to Rs 30,125 per ten grams, silver fell by Rs 15 to Rs 54,400 per kg on reduced offtake by jewellers and industrial units.

Traders said sluggish demand due to off-marriage season mainly kept pressure on both gold and silver prices to surrendered further ground.

On the domestic front, gold of 99.9 and 99.5 per cent purity fell further by Rs 130 each to Rs 30,125 and Rs 29,925 per ten grams, respectively.

It had lost Rs 75 in the previous session. Sovereign remained steady at Rs 25,300 per piece of eight gram in scattered deals.

In line with a general weak trend, silver ready shed another Rs 15 to Rs 54,400 per kg and weekly-based delivery by Rs 25 to Rs 54,175 per kg. The white metal had plunged by Rs 765 in the previous session.

Silver coins held steady at Rs 82,000 for buying and Rs 83,000 for selling of 100 pieces in restricted buying.
