The Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday fixed the reference rate of rupee for the US dollar at 54.2190 and the Euro at 70.9775 as against 54.2770 and 70.9030 on Monday.
In a press release issued by RBI, the exchange rates for the Pound and Yen against Rupee were quoted at 84.0015 a pound and 55.47 per 100 yen, based on reference rates for the US dollar and cross-currency quotes at noon.
The reference rate is based on the noon rates of select banks here and the SDR-Rupee rate would be based on this rate, the release added.
